Mumbai, Jyotis family has witness lot of happiness after Sandeeps(Varun Kandelwal) marriage and their decision turned right when Poonam came in to their family. Let me brief you about Poonams character.  Like several girls her age and stage, she has fantasized about her knight in shining armor who will come to marry her and thus save her from a life of drudgery of either studying or making a living. In that sense she is immature and an escapist. She has liked Sandeeps rugged appearance and handsome features and imagines a life full of romance and eternal honeymooning with him, not imagining that at heart he is a family oriented man who dotes on his family and wants to remain committed to looking after his sisters. When this reality hits her, she is hugely disappointed for her state. But she is also smart enough to understand about the vulnerability and complexities of this family .It take her no time to become a smart woman and take complete advantage of every situation. Poonam is a creature of comfort, so she tends to be lazy and manipulative as she becomes unhappy when her rather immature dreams of a comfortable life after marriage are not fulfilled.

You all must be very keen to know about whats happening in your favorite Jyotis life? The divorce notice which was sent by Pankaj (Sarvar Ahuja) to Jyoti had a clause in which its stated that both the parties have separated one year back and were staying alone. This clause was included so that Pankaj gets the divorce fast and he can marry Neelam (Soniya Singh). After reading this clause Jyoti refuse to sign the notice and tells that she needs more time to think on it.

Neelam parents meet Jyoti and try to persuade her that earlier their daughters engagement was broken because Uday (Alok Narula) married Jyotis sister Sudha (Sriti Jha) and once again their daughters marriage is in danger because of her. According to them it will be better if she signs the notice and set Pankaj free to marry their daughter Neelam. Bhairvi have offered 1crore to Jyoti and so Neelams parents too offers her same money so she will get 2crores if she signs the divorce letter. Jyoti says that she doesnt have any problem in signing the papers but she needs sometime.

You know what? Jyoti has not accepted the alimony and she is going to do second job so she can fulfill the family demands & take care of her unborn child. Her decision of doing two jobs upsets her mother because this way it can affect her health as she is pregnant. Padma (Zaida) is not happy of Jyotis decision for not accepting the alimony .Kamal Kishor (Sanjay Batra) makes her understand that Jyoti is independent girls who dont want to burden her family with her responsibilities. Padma get pissed as her husband is not listening to her and taking her daughters side. In anger she say I know the situation...I was the one who has always known and I give sound advise...but you...you never take my side...you feel that because she is my sauteli beti I am acting like a monster step mother. And bang Poonam enters the room and comes to know about this truth.
