Uninor Flags Off Blue Brigade From Agra
Posted: March 27, 2010    Send email
Agra, Uninor, a joint venture between the global telecom giant Telenor and Unitech Ltd., today announced an innovative new marketing initiative -  Uninor Blue Brigade . A fleet of Uninor branded vehicles were flagged off on this occasion by Mr. Allan Bonke, Delhi Hub EVP, Uninor, with an objective of reaching out to over 15 million customers in rural areas of Western UP besides creating deeper brand awareness and visibility across the state. The day was also marked by the inauguration of its zonal office in Agra, the fourth in UP West within last three months. With this Uninor takes a step further in reinforcing its commitment to be close to the customer and strengthening its presence in the UP West region.

The  Uninor Blue Brigade  initiative is being rolled out with the vision to understand customer requirements in these rural markets, acquaint customers about Uninor s services, enhance brand visibility across the region and addressing customer feedback. These Uninor branded vehicles will be running for the next few months across 100 towns including semi-urban, rural and remote areas of UP West to reach out to prospective customers.

Agra is an important market for us and the inauguration of our new Zonal Office in this city further strengthens our commitment to providing quality services in the region. By launching the Uninor Blue Brigade initiative we are aiming to bring ourselves closer to our customers by providing access even in the most remote locations of Western UP , elaborated Mr. Allan Bonke, Executive Vice-President, Delhi Hub, Uninor.

Uninor believes that with the growing mobile handset population and rising demand for quality services from the Indian telecom industry, it has become mandatory to deliver on customer satisfaction. Part of it involves reaching out to its customers in the far fetched rural areas as these are the emerging markets with huge demand for telecom services. With cellular services becoming more affordable than ever, a large number of rural customers now own cell phones and Uninor attempts to capture this new emerging market through its marketing innovations. The key reason for this initiative is to understand customer requirement in rural areas and to gather customer feedback as well from these remote locations.

The Agra Zonal Office that was inaugurated today will be responsible for the entire operation, sales and marketing and customer care for this zone. This office will be part of the state wide network of zonal offices and Uninor stores covering the entire population of 64.4 million across UP West.
