New Delhi, The Embassy of Austria in collaboration with National Rail Museum, New Delhi, Kriti Gallery and Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD), worlds leading manufacturer of Diesel Locomotives, jointly presented a unique Photo Exhibition through the eyes of the Austrian artist Werner Dornik and his impressions of the great Indian Rail journey
This exhibition was inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Ferdinand Maultaschl, Ambassador of Austria at the National Rail Museum. Mr. Sanjiv Handa, Member Mechanical, Railway Board, Government of India graced the show with his esteemed presence. Also present were the Artist - Mr. Werner Dornik, Mr. Albert Enste VP EMD, Mr. Manish Jain Director, National Rail Museum and whos who from the Industry.
Speaking on the ocassion, Albert Enste, Vice President, Electro Motive Diesels (EMD) said, EMD is happy to encourage this endeavor of Werner Dornik, renowned Austrian Photographer to give enhanced visibility to works of art relating to the Indian Railways, with which Electro Motive Diesels has had a long and meaningful relationship. We are proud of our 50 years association with Indian Railways, giving tomorrows technology today. As our humble contribution, EMD shall be presenting this timeless collection to the National Rail Museum for permanent display in its gallery,
Kriti Gallery, Varanasi, which is curating the Show, was enthused with the works of Artist Dornik, and decided to introduce this timeless collection to the Indian audience. This show has been put together by partners from diverse fields with a collective love for Art, which showcases various facets of Indian Railways in a unique style, where the display would be as real as the photographed pictures.
