Noida, Uttar Pradesh, Green Charging, the energy- saving utility application for mobile phones developed by Impetus mLabs, crossed the magic figure of 100,000 downloads recently.

Green Charging is a unique application which informs the user when the battery of the mobile phone is fully charged by creating sound and vibration. It also helps with other important information such as the battery status, stand by time and talk-time (in %). With an aim to make the 4 billion+ mobile users aware and inculcate in them the habit of saving electricity, Green Charging is a small initiative to contribute to creating a greener planet.

The Green Charging application was one of the top 5 shortlisted entries for the GSMA Mobile Innovation Award Grand Prix-APAC Tournament. The application was also short-listed for the AT&T Fast-Pitch Platinum Awards in the CTIA WITE 2009.
