New Delhi, Delhi,Jubilant Organosys Limited today declared the commencement of their sixteenth annual cricket tournament at Gajraula. The Jubilant Cup 2010 will be played from March 3-10, at the Jubilant Cricket Grounds, Gajraula. The Jubilant Cup, 2010 is a pioneering event which has been running successfully since the last 16 years. Jubilant Organosys has a large manufacturing presence in this area. Since its inception in 1995, this tournament has witnessed matches featuring some of the most celebrated Indian cricket champions such as Virendra Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Chetan Sharma on this turf. Amongst the new crop of young International cricket players there is Ishant Sharma, Suresh Raina, Pravin Kumar and Piyush Chawla who have played in the Jubilant Cup in previous years. The tournament will be played on a league-cum-knock out basis comprising 8 teams. In the first match of the tournament RJ Group (Ghaziabad) faced JP Nagar 11. While the RJ group is an established team, the JP Nagar 11 team comprises talent from JP Nagar and adjoining districts selected after rigorous qualifying tournament held prior to the Jubilant Cup.

Mr. Ashkaran is the ground curator, who has to his credit several first class pitches. He has taken care of the finest details to craft the pitch for this tournament.

Project Muskan, brought the dropout rates down to almost Nil in the schools where it is running. Being run with the support of community and administration, the project is currently running in 17 schools and will be expanded to over 40 schools in the coming months.
Along with Education and Health, the Company has also formed over 35 self help groups of women with 8-10 members each, who are trained in vocational activities like stitching etc. to supplement their family income. The Company is also engaged in organizing job oriented training programs for the youth to make them employable and support their families.
Sports has also been a key area of companys intervention in Gajraula. The Company has always encouraged sporting talent in the community and actively supported local tournaments at district level. The Jubilant Cup was started 15 years ago with a view to provide a platform for the local players from the villages in and around Gajraula, since then this tournament has gained prominence. It also serves as a medium to bring people together from neighboring communities to witness and appreciate local sporting talent in an atmosphere of understanding and bonhomie.
