New Delhi, Koutons Retail India Ltd., one of the leading Retail companies in India today reported net Sales of Rs. 1,203.34 crore for the FY 2010 as compared to Rs.1,046.68 crore in the corresponding year for the last fiscal year, registered a growth of 14.97%.
Profit after tax registered a growth of 5.07% to Rs. 83.60 crore, as compared to Rs. 79.56 crore in FY09. EPS for FY10 stands at Rs.27.36 as compared to Rs. 26.04 in FY09. EBITDA Margin is at 19.49 % forFY10 as compared to 21.46% in FY09.
Net sales for the quarter ended March 31st, 2010, was at Rs.385.39 crore as compared to Rs. 377.50 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal year, marginally increased by 2.09%. Net Profit for the quarter was flat at Rs. 32.71 crore.
Commenting on the Companys performance, Mr. DPS Kohli, Chairman, Koutons Retail India Ltd., said, Despite a slow start, the overall performance during the year has been quite satisfactory. The results have been as per expectations and pave the way for favorable growth avenues in future. Koutons largely focused on consolidation and introduced the concept of family stores which have brought in fruitful results for the company in terms of increased revenues and increased customer base. Going forward, the company aims to strengthen its position in existing markets by introducing newer products and also expand the concept of organized retailing across newer geographical territories.
