Amongst the primary tasks I wish to undertake, said Mr. Mantri, the enhancement of MCHIs and the real estate industrys image is a priority; we shall be initiating greater interaction with members, government, fraternal associations and the general public. Other priorities he outlined include, leveraging the strength of the real estate industry, and engaging in industry-wide bulk materials purchase of commodities like cement, steel through joint negotiation with providers to obtain better prices. One of the most important tasks Mr. Mantri has set himself is helping Maharashtra Government to execute conveyance of single buildings and completed layouts.

MCHI, said Mr. Mantri, is the association of real estate developers in Indias real estate capital, Mumbai. In keeping with our status and goals, we plan to acquire a state-of-the-art research and development centre, a library, a fully-equipped conference hall and auditorium, and spacious office premises.

Referring to the recent radical initiative of Homes For All taken up by MCHI, Mr. Mantri said we are already engaging the Government of Maharashtra, and its agencies like MHADA, SRA and MMRDA to frame new policy developments to give concrete shape to Homes For All Project.
