New Delhi, With the growth of real estate in India, the roles and responsibilities of real estate professionals have evolved significantly. This in turn has enhanced their need for a background in real estate education and strong professional skills in their functional areas of responsibilities. The need for the highly specialised real estate professional is most urgent in commercial property sector, which is comparatively very new for Indian property market.
Incidentally, we dont have any real estate education program targeted at preparing specialists in commercial real estate. Similarly, there is not a single real estate course focusing on the professional education needs of commercial property professionals in India.
IDS National Institute of Real Estate Management (IDS NIREM), as the industry focussed centre for real estate education, training, consulting & research, has taken several initiatives to develop human resources for the Indian real estate market. Continuing the same initiatives and considering the need for specialised real estate management education, NIREM today launched PG Diploma in Commercial Real Estate (PGD-CRE). The PG Diploma in Commercial Real Estate is being offered as a one year distance learning course. This real estate course, patterned on MBA in real estate, is also offered at diploma and certificate level.
NIREM launched this real estate course for two segments. First, those fresh graduates and MBAs who want to start their career in real estate and second the existing real estate professionals who either want to specialize in commercial property sector or want to advance their learning.
The course is designed to provide the course participants with thorough knowledge and practical skills to analyze, acquire, finance, and operate real estate assets. The commercial real estate program covers Real Estate Principles & Practices, Finance, Appraisal, Legal Aspects of Real Estate, Real Estate Investment Analysis, Commercial Lease Analysis, Real Estate Development Process, Managing Commercial Properties, Underwriting the Commercial Mortgage, real estate management etc. among others.
