siliguri, Radio Misty 94.3 fm, the first and Number one fm station of North Bengal have partnered with Hotel Sinclairs, in Siliguri for Biriyani Festival to be held from 1st May to 15th May. The festival Titled Dawat e Biriyani will see different types of Biriyani from all over the country. Radio Misty will promote this festival on air. Its raining mouth-melting biryanis at the Festival.

With over varieties of biryani from all over India, Vegetable Parda Biriyani and Hydrabadi Gosht Briana being the famous ones. This biryani festival gives you the unique opportunity to savour the delicate and sometimes pungent flavours of this special rice dish.

Birian actually means fried before cooking in Persian. The art of making a biryani was born in Persia but was perfected in India, where it was tried and tested in various forms and with local influences and availabilities.
