Richard Bach Believes Time-space Isnt Reality
Posted: January 11, 2010    Send email
Mumbai, Maharashtra, Richard Bach, the author of several international best-selling book titles, biggest of them being Jonathan Livingston Seagull, believes that everything-the whole world, this physical body, time-space-is a result of our presumptions-hypnotic suggestions that our minds have accepted as real.

Richard Bach confessed to being a student of the fascinating subject of hypnotism since he was a boy.

"As a boy I was fascinated with the subject, and became both hypnotist and subject in my studies," he says in an exclusive interview to Complete Wellbeing magazine, published in its January 2010 issue. He was speaking mostly about the thought behind his latest book, Hypnotizing Maria.

It is his study of hypnotism, he said, that has helped him understand that there is no such thing as "objective experience-it is all subjective, subject to our beliefs of the moment."

All of Bach books are based on a powerful philosophy he espouses-that we are not physical, but spiritual beings and that all morality and attitudes are merely appearances.

Along with being a revered writer, Bach is also an accomplished pilot and flight instructor-a part of his personality that he intricately weaves into all his books to give readers a view of life from a higher plane.

When asked what he would be if not a writer and a pilot, Bach says, "A world in which I was not a pilot and a writer? I went to sea; I am an engine mechanic; I am a warrior killed in his first battle; I am a fish imagining a world of air; I am a deep-space creature with a body of stardust, stretching light-years between galaxies."

Through his books Bach has inspired millions of individuals world-wide to set out on the path of self-growth. To those seeking such self-expansion, offers a word of advice in the interview: follow your highest sense of right.

Although a celebrated and respected author, Bach is rarely known to come into public limelight.

Notes to Editor

Excerpt from Richard Bach interview in Complete Wellbeing January 2010 issue:

Question: What would you have become if not a pilot and a writer?

Richard Bach: A world in which I was not a pilot and a writer? I went to sea I a man engine mechanic; I am a warrior killed in his first battle; I am a fish imagining a world of air; I am a deep-space creature with a body of stardust, stretching light-years between galaxies. Like everyone else, I have taken indefinite number of forms, knowing all the while that every form is illusion-that the only eternal is our no-form oneness with that radiant Love.
