Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Farmers have become extremely aware about adopting newer techniques and intiatives for improvement of the harvest. This was evident by the enthusiastic participation of 600 farmers (approx) in Galla Foods First YI Farmers Net meet,today at Chittoor.
The camp was inagurated by Mrs. Aruna Kumari Galla, Minister Road & Construction, Andhra Pradesh in presence of Mr. Ramchandra N. Galla,Chairman, Galla Foods,Mr. Jay Galla, Managing Director,Galla Foods and farmers from 20 mandals. The event provided a platform to the community to share their concerns and learn about various facilities available in government and private sectors to support them.
During the event Mr. Ramchandra N Galla, Chairman,Galla Foods stated, "We, at Galla Foods have been working very closely with farmers to provide a progressive approach.The farming community is an integral part of the company and Galla Foods is devoted to provide best horticulture practices and technology to the sector. On this ocassion, leading healthcare brands Apollo Hospitals and Vasan Eye Care came forward and provided free health checkup to the farmers( dental, eye, cardiac, ortho, blood grouping, sugar etc.). Around 50 doctors and healthcare staff actively participated in the medical camp offering proper guidance and assistance.
The positive response from farming community have encouraged Galla Foods to make this event a part of farming calendar.
