Mumbai, Maharashtra, Rave Technologies, a leading provider of Outsourced Product Development for Independent Software Vendors, today announced that global publisher RSC Publishing has launched a new integrated content delivery platform built by Rave software development team.
RSC Publishingbeta is powered by MarkLogic Server, the industry leading XML content server, and provides a fully integrated web platform to deliver a rich set of chemistry content to users worldwide. Rave has worked closely with RSC to architect, design, develop and integrate the new content delivery platform into RSC existing technology infrastructure and enterprise applications. RSC Publishing will host their content locally and use the Rave suite of administration tools to manage the online content delivery operation, giving RSC full control of their content delivery platform.
Anand Jhaveri, CEO, Rave Technologies said, "Its been a privilege to work with the people at RSC Publishing. Together we have achieved more than the successful launch of this excellent product; we have forged a lasting partnership that will continue to drive innovations in publishing technologies for years to come, for the benefit of all RSC constituents and Rave clients."
RSC Publishingbeta offers a number of new features for a significantly enhanced user experience. The new platform is developed based on detailed user research, and offers new ways to discover content and other exciting features including:
- Powerful, fast simple search.
- Effortless browsing through millions of RSC journal articles and book chapters.
- Context-sensitive facets and filters for getting to the specific information, with ease.
- Quick access and consistent navigation irrespective of the content type - journals, books or databases.
- Librarians portal for managing subscriptions, obtaining usage reports and federated access.
Graham McCann, Product Manager, RSC Publishing commented, "The key benefit of releasing the platform as an open beta is that early and frequent releases help create a tight feedback loop between the development of the platform and users, enabling us to listen to and fulfill user requirements."
He further added, "The release early, release often philosophy empowers the user to help define what the platform will become - the partnership between us and our users and working with the skilled team of technical architects, software developers and business analysts at Rave should result in producing something exceptional."
