On Nov 27th  more than 18 000 people from five continents witnessed the best of global nightlife come to life as part of The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project  The one of a kind experience saw 14 countries pair up to exchange crates containing the best of their local nightlife culture  as voted by the public
The countries taking part   India  Argentina  Australia  Brazil  Canada  Germany  Great Britain  Ireland  Lebanon  Poland  South Africa  Thailand  USA and Venezuela   were given the chance to experience the best of nightlife from their exchange country at events that merged fashion  drinks  music  entertainment  food and more  Over 33 000 ideas were submitted by consumers around the world on what describes nightlife in their country
India partnered with Canada for an event at The Lalit Ashok  Bangalore that featured DJ Sultan  DJ Max Graham and Zara Taylor on vocals
As part of this spectacle  a diverse line up of big name talent and underground acts took to the stage on the same night at venues around the world  with DJ Sultan  who has an enormous fan following in India  DJ Max Graham  a global trance legend and Zara Taylor on vocals bringing the sound of Canada to India and performing to a rapturous crowd of 2000 people
Of the experience  Nikhil Chinapa  curator of The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project in India said   The best of Canada s nightlife unfolded here and the experience was simply stunning  This unforgettable night out gave Smirnoff fans the chance to experience nightlife from a country which is so different from ours while enjoying world class music  in a setting that was nothing short of extraordinary  This was an audacious project and we could not have done this without the participation of our fans  Thank you India
Alongside DJ Sultan  DJ Max Graham and Zara Taylor  guests got to experience the best of Canada and its nightlife with a theme that revolved around the great Canadian outdoors   snow and ice; and complemented with Canadian specialties like the much loved poutine and the famous Canadian Mounties
Given the huge mash up this wonderful land of ours is  fusion can never be too far behind and across the world in Canada  consumers were treated to just that  With contemporary sounds of electronica interspersed with traditional percussive Indian beats Jalebee Cartel and Shaa ir  Func created mayhem on the dance floor  The two décor items which caught everyone s attention were a chandelier created with the brightest and most colourful bangles  and a multi coloured Bollywood themed autorickshaw  An out an out hit was the delicious Smirnoff cocktail blended with coconut water and chaat masala  That s not all   with the popular dhol that gets everyone s feet moving  it truly was a festival of fusion!
