Gurgaon, Haryana, Innovative brand Cream bell Ice cream has won a maximum 9 awards in the "2nd The Great Indian Ice cream contest". The competition was organised by Indian Dairy association (IDA) and DANISCO in a high profile event at Hotel Hyatt Regency in New Delhi.

The Great Indian Ice-cream Contest - is aimed at recognition and commitment to excellence, innovation and high quality standards in Ice creams. This prestigious contest was participated by 48 key players from all parts of the country.There were 8 categories of award, and Cream bell topped the contest with 4 gold and 2 silver. Apart from these 6 awards Cream bell won 3 best in the class awards too.

Cream bell won gold in the most popular Vanilla ice cream and Vanilla frozen dessert. In the Premium segment Cream bell was honoured gold for the exotic Zafrani Pista. In the innovation category Cream bell won yet gold for "Maxxum", choco coffee. Winning gold for Maxxum proved yet again why it is popularly known as innovative brand."Maxxum" The Choco Coffee ice cream can be termed as the biggest Innovation for 2009 in the ice cream industry. With a total 9 numbers of awards, Cream bell has led the medal tally for the 2nd year in a row. Cream bell had won 9 awards in the 1st Great Indian Ice cream contest with 3 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze and 2 special awards.
