Mumbai,Twitter is becoming the new buzzword among Indian actors. The micro blogging service which is highly popular among celebrities has yet another fan.
Tisca Chopra, the much loved Maya Awasthi from Taare Zameen Par, has joined twitter recently.
Of her new hobby she says, I always felt there was a book in me, but just havent had the time or maybe the commitment to go all the way. This is one super way of communicating my deepest or sometimes, most superficial thoughts. Theres so much happening... shoots, travel, fun people I meet. Itll be great to share it with my fans, directly and before they see it in the theatres. It would be so amazing to know what they really think too! Tisca Chopra is available on twitter
Most actors seem to have a huge following, by tweeting about their professional & personal lives. Corporate are quickly leveraging the advantage it gives them by promoting their brands via their own brand ambassadors. Whenever Priyanka Chopra tweets about her new iPhone and SRK about Nokia, brands get a huge fillip.
Tisca represents brands like Olay & Dish TV etc. It will be interesting to see the intelligent but very private actors tweets! It may turn out to be a blessing for the brands she endorses. And also for her fans who have waited long after Taare Zameen Par & Firaaq for her next release.
STAR News has just launched a nationwide Anchor Hunt, which is hunting for Indias most promising News Anchors and has announced that Tisca will be one of the judges.
Lets hope she also tweets about whats happening behind the scenes in this exciting reality show.
