Southampton, Mudpie, the UK-based, global leader in creative trend information, today announced it is no longer represented by distributor Mode Information in the United Kingdom and is opening an in-house sales office to better service the UK market.
The move comes in response to requests from Mudpies UK customers who prefer to buy directly from the trend source and require a higher level of product knowledge than Mode Information UK was able to offer.
The UK is our home market and an important one for Mudpie, comments Fiona Jenvey, Mudpies CEO. Our consultancy services give us an excellent understanding of the market and we count many well-known brands in our client portfolio. We simply want to extend the same level of service we have developed in our Consultancy to our Trendbook and Mpdclick clients. Working directly with subscribers will enable us to better understand our customers creative needs and offer advice and services accordingly.
The announcement comes shortly after the appointment of Mudpie share holder John Gorman to the Board in the role of Commercial Director. John, who was formally MD of the UK brand Firetrap comments, I am delighted we are returning the UK trend business back to Mudpie. We already lead the market in creative trend services and working directly with our UK clients will further advance Mudpie towards our next phase of growth and I look forward to working with the Mudpie Team to achieve this.
