Mumbai, This March brace up for a heady concoction of sun, sand and Indian glamour as Indias fashion fatale Michelle Salins is set to represent India at the prestigious 12th Annual Miami International Fashion Week (MIFW).

The MIFW has been the desire of many a popular designers such as Oscar De La Renta, Carolina Herrera, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Manish Arora and Rina Dhaka, who have been prominent participants of MIFW.

Having aptly named her collection, The Jewel Tones of India being showcased on 20th March at the Miamis trendy Wynwood Art District, Michelle says of her collection, This season I have designed a collection that explores the culture & color of our Incredible India! Silks in Satins, Tulle, Velvets, Georgettes, and chiffons draped luxuriously depict the harmony of India with silhouettes that take the heritage of India to the western world.

Michelles use of embellishment like Swarovski crystal, Indian hand embroidery like zardosi & sequin & bead add the glamour quotient to her sophisticated and elegant, red carpet gowns & dresses which pronounce an otherwise western silhouette. The showcase will also see a collection of cocktail footwear specially designed by Michelle for the first time. Bringing in her signature Butterfly motif to the collection, she adds the dash of fun, feminity & sensuality to her garments.

Miami International Fashion Week is the largest International Fashion event held in the United States of America with almost 600 various publications & media attending the event.. For the past twelve years, the MIFW has been bringing the best of international fashion, beauty and art to the forefront on the American fashion scene.
