Faridabad, The 3rd 20- Twenty Corporate cricket Cup, 2010 was successfully concluded today with the announcement of ABN AMRO Bank as the winners. In a nail biting final ABN-AMRO Bank defeated Maruti Suzuki India Ltd by 65 runs. Ankur (ABN AMRO Bank) was declared as man of the match.
Team Maruti Udyog won the toss and elected to Field first. ABN Amro scored 230/5 runs in 20 overs. Mr. Ashish, who also won the player of the tournament award, scored 106 runs in 52 balls (6 four, 10 Sixes), Mr. Ankur , 66 runs in 35 balls (6 fours,5 Sixes), Rohit 20 runs in 13 balls (2 fours,2 Sixes ), respectively. In reply Maruti Udyog team scored 165 all out in 13.3 overs and lost the match by 65 runs.
The Manav Rachna Corporate 20-Twenty Cricket Challenge cup 2010 was played from 13th February to 21st March 2010, at the Campus grounds on a league-cum-knock out basis. This is a pioneering event which has been running successfully since the last 3 years and enjoys massive support and participation from many corporate teams.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Prashant Bhalla, Senior VP MRIU said, Since its inception in 2008, this tournament has given us many exciting matches that have witnessed top corporate cricket teams such as NDTV, Maruti Suzuki and ABN-AMRO playing on this turf. We hope that the spirit of game is kept alive always and cricket continues to grow.
Chief Guest at the event, Legendry cricketer and former India skipper Mr. Bishan Singh Bedi in his speech said, All the teams that have participated in the tournament are winners in true sense. This tournament has brought forth many cricketing talents. Manav Rachna International University through its world class teaching methodology and initiatives like these has been continuously making great contributions in the field of education and sports.

This years edition of Manav Rachna Corporate tournament brought to the fore great cricketing talents to watch out in the future, such as Ashish (ABN AMRO Bank), Siddharth (Sports Scribe) and Kunal (ABN AMRO Bank.
After receiving his player of the tournament award, Ashish (ABN AMRO Bank) said, Our team performed consistently well throughout the tournament which has paved way towards lifting the cup. The facilities provided at the university are excellent and the crowd is very warm and supportive. I will look forward to this tournament many more times in the future as well. I extend my gratitude to Manav Rachna International University for creating a platform that has not only helped us understand the importance to work as a unit but has also helped us interact with talented students at the campus, who we look forward to work along with, professionally as well
