Pammvi Introduces Steinel Air Control Pro Signal CO2 Sensors In India For Controlling HVAC Applications

Mumbai,Pammvi Group of Companies, the industry leader in providing world-class energy conservation products to various commercial as well as residential projects have now introduced the Steinel Air Control Pro Signal CO2 sensor in India for controlling Heating, Ventilation and Airconditioning & indoor air quality monitoring.

Presence detectors also provide the capability of controlling heating, ventilation, air-conditioning in relation to whether or not persons are present. This makes a lot of sense from an energy point of view as it can save large quantities of it: If nobodys there, why keep the cooling on all the time.

Ventilation systems require energy and the air thats exchanged needs either heating or cooling. But the mere presence of persons is not enough for air to be exchanged through a ventilation system or automatically controlled window. Whats important is the quality of air.

People inhale O2 and exhale CO2. This is a situation everyones familiar with: as the meeting wears on, concentration lapses and, at some point everybodys tired, and later on people start to get a headache. The reason for this is the content of CO2 in room air. Unfortunately, this is something people only notice when its far too late to remedy the situation and actively provide ventilation. This is where our Air Control sensor comes in - because it measures the amount of CO2 thats present in room air.

The sensor generates a relay output based on the C02 concentration levels and can be interfaced with the Controller unit of the HVAC system to activate/ deactivate the damper for the infusion of fresh air. Alternatively, the user can use the Visual LED indication to manually open or close the fresh air vents.

It is an ideal solution for airconditioning specialists, LEED architects/ consultants, energy consultants / auditors, Green Building specifiers, central cooling/ HVAC equipment suppliers etc.

The AC PRO Signal CO2 sensor has the following features:

  1.      Air-quality sensor matching presence detector
  2.      High energy-saving potential from on-demand ventilation
  3.      Automatic, maintenance-free CO2 measurement
  4.      Controls air-conditioning (ventilation, window opening, co-ordinated heating control etc.)
  5.      Provides information on air quality and the need for fresh air (visually and acoustically)
  6.      Also suitable for retrofi tting in training, conference, classrooms, offi ces and the home
  7.      Acoustic warning every 5 min. above 1500 ppm (can be deactivated)
  8.      Self-calibrating (to fresh air and air pressure/altitude)
  9.      Indicator with 3 LEDs
(green, amber, red) Green: < 1000 ppm
(light ON permanently, can be switched OFF) Orange:1000 ppm - 1500 ppm
(light ON permanently) Red: > 1500 ppm (flashing)

Relay ON from 1200ppm
Relay OFF from 800ppm (with falling CO2 concentration)

Pammvi Group of Companies has introduced this CO2 sensor in India to control the HVAC applications and to conserve the energy resources.
