ESET India Releases Its New Pricing Structure For The Indian Market

Mumbai,ESS Software Distribution & Consulting (P) Ltd, the exclusive distributor of ESET products in India, today announced the official release of its news pricing policy and structure for the corporate/business segment & the retail/SOHO segment for the Indian Market. The new prices would be effective from July 14th 2010. As per the new price list, the SMB, corporate & enterprise segment prices have been reduced by 30% & the SOHO segment pricing have been decreased by 60% as compared to the last year pricing.

Considering the growth & potential of the Indian SMB segment, ESET India has reduced the pricing of its ESET business edition licenses by 30%. The new pricing would be beneficial to the customers ranging from 25-500 users. This will strengthen ESETs presence at SMB segment which is estimated to contribute around 55% of total market share for AV industry by 2015. Indian SMBs are always looking forward for the effective and affordable security solution. With the new pricing policy we will able to respond their demand and provide them comprehensive protection at an affordable price. This will definitely strengthen our presence in the SMB segment. We also plan to bring SMB retail packs of 10 & 25 users at an aggressive price in couple of months said Mr. Amit Misra, Country Head, ESS Software Distribution & Consulting (P) Ltd.

As per the industry analyst, the Indian retail market segment is growing at the rate of 25%. India is biggest market & is ranked at no. 5 position. To tap this segment, ESET has reduced its retail box pack pricing by 60% as compared to the last years pricing. ESET India also plans to launch its much awaited ESET Mobile Antivirus in the Indian retail market which will support windows as well as Symbian platform. ESET Business Edition customers using ESET NOD32 Antivirus will get ESET mobile antivirus at a discounted price whereas customers who opt for or are having ESET Smart Security will get ESET Mobile Antivirus free of cost. When it comes to buying of an anti-virus, price does play a deciding role for the customer but they also seek quality. ESET intends to cater both these requirement of end users.

Currently the government & education segment are driving the AV market. Lot of universities and government segment SBUs have started taking IT security seriously. ESET already had very aggressive pricing in the Government, education, NGO segment and its new pricing for this segment is even more aggressive. Gov-Edu-Ngo segment have been our prime focus segment right from the inception. We have been successful catering to esteemed clients from Gov-Edu segment from last 5 years. We have many prestigious clients like BHU, BITs Pilani, IIT, etc. GOV-EDU-NGO almost contributes to our 35% of overall business.
