Bengaluru, CSC (NYSE: CSC) has named Brian J. Manning president and managing director of CSC in India effective April 1, 2010. Manning was recently vice president, Global Capability Resource Centers (CRC) in CSCs Managed Services Sector. He will report to Vivek Chopra, group president, Global Applications.
In his new position, Manning will assume responsibility for all of CSCs operations in India, CSCs second largest geographic location. That responsibility includes providing support to CSCs global business as well as to local markets, and for 19,000 employees based in India and other locations. He will ensure that delivery capacity in India continues to expand with CSCs global business requirements and that CSCs portfolio of services delivered from India across diverse industry segments continues to enhance CSCs global competitiveness.
Manning previously served as director, Global Infrastructure Services, where he successfully established strategic operations to grow CSCs offshore capability in India.
Brian has been an outstanding innovator in work force planning and resource provisioning in alignment with our customers strategic objectives, said Chopra. We are fortunate to have someone with his level of understanding and experience on our team.
Manning brings 25 years of experience in information technology (IT) management, operations and strategic planning and sales, including 15 years of service with CSC and 10 years with Hughes Aircraft/Raytheon Company. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication from California State University Northridge and a Masters degree in communications management from the Annenberg School for Communication, University of South California.
