New Delhi, Espire, a global provider of full-spectrum software services, announced today that IT industry veteran Brajesh Ugra has been appointed as President and Global - Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Ugra replaces the erstwhile CEO Amit Rai who has been appointed to a new role as Chairman of the Board.
Brajesh is a proven leader in the global IT industry with a rare combination of aggression, wisdom, people management, business acumen and market savviness that will be instrumental in taking Espire to the next level, said Amit Rai, chairman of Espire Infolabs, in a statement.
In announcing Brajeshs appointment, Espire Groups Managing Director, Gagan Oberoi, said Brajesh embodies all characteristics that Espire identified as necessary to drive the expansion of this fast-moving organization. His experience at the highest level in the global IT space, combined with his strategic abilities and strong operational and business skills, make him the perfect CEO to join our existing top management.
With over 25 years of experience, Brajesh joins Espire following a distinguished career with Birlasoft as its Executive Vice President for Americas and Managing Director for APAC region. Prior to Birlasoft, Brajesh worked with Satyam as Vice President - International Marketing and was instrumental in transforming Satyam into a tier-1 IT services provider from a smaller player. Brajesh also effectuated Satyams subsequent direct entry into Europe and the United States. Previous to Satyam, he was with organizations like UBICS, Computer Point and IDM.
