Mumbai, Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces the launch of a new business unit in the EEMEA geographic division - new local office in Kiev, Ukraine. The office will be in charge of company operations in Eastern Europe region.

New local office is headed by Andrey Slobodyanik, who has been appointed to the position of Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab in Eastern Europe. Previously he held the position of Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova.

The structural reorganization has been made for the purpose of business operations optimization in the Eastern Europe region, - said Andrey Slobodyanik, Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab in Eastern Europe. - The EEMEA geographic division restructuring significantly simplifies internal processes and raises Kaspersky Lab business efficiency in Eastern Europe considerably as it allows to deliver Companys positive experience to all the countries of the region centrally.

The new local office in Eastern Europe is set up to enhance Companys presence in the region, optimize its business processes, further develop partners network and the promote Kaspersky Lab brand. Since March 1st 2010 the local office will reinforce the Companys presence in Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Greece, Cyprus, Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia.
