Bengaluru,Ontop Technology Ltd today announced a new ultra-fast SuperSpeed USB 3.0 and High Speed USB 2.0 HDD enclosure. The solid and attractive, sleek design of the enclosure combines performance, practicality and style.
The ASMEdia chip used in the design supports the latest SuperSpeed USB 3.0 standard of 5Gbps and is also fully compatible with the older, but still widely used, High Speed USB 2.0 at 480Mbps.
The enclosure can be fitted with 2.5-inch SATA hard disk drives and the increasingly popular 2.5 solid state drives (SSD) via the internal 48 pin connector. Serial ATA specification 2.6 has been used which supports 3Gbps and is also backward compatible with older generation SATA hard drive speeds.
Conveniently, the power adapter and USB adapter are built into the enclosure; the USB adapter neatly fits flush into the enclosure for travel and storage.
