Kolkata,The city witnessed an art extravaganza  36 Degrees organized by Artmile which is set to be five day affair starting from the 27th of April, 2010. Bengal has always been synonymous with art & culture and the event promises to elevate the artistic spirit of the city, paintings and sculptors by young and promising artists like-Amit Kumar Dhara, Biswajit Saha, Soumitra Kar, Partha Dasgupta, Subrata Das, Bappa Haldar, kaushik Ghosh etc were showcased in the exhibition.

Its a privilege for Artmile, to contribute towards the promotion of the young art talent of Bengal. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the participating artists who have supported us since our inception to make this a success story. Our aim is to focus on the rich heritage of Bengal to encourage the artists and to open up a larger market for them. Commented Ms. Vandita Sanghvi Partner, Artmile.

18 vibrant promising young artists 50 paintings and 5 sculptors were showcased in the event. Water colours, acrylics, oil and mixed media on canvas, board and paper are the basic medium of all these paintings.

Since the inception in 2007 Artmiles mission and vision has been to present affordable art focusing in good investment. This is fourth exhibition organized by Artmile, after the first two successful exhibitions in Kolkata respectively in 2007 and 2008. About Artmile

Artmile is an online art gallery incepted in August 2007. It is exclusively a brain child of two young entrepreneurs, Ms. Vandita Sanghvi and Ms. Tanushree Somani whose love for the traditional art and culture of Bengal encouraged them to forim Artmile. Before 36 Degree, Artmile organized three exhibitions, at the Ashutosh Centenary Hall in the Indian Museum in 2007 called Journey Begins and the next at The Birla Academy of Fine Arts and Culture in 2008. Artmile had an exhibition showcasing small paintings in Bagalore in July 2009. The main mission of Artmile is to promote young and promising talents from Bengal to the global audience and to provide good and affordable work of art to the art lovers across the country.
